Below we've compiled general information about getting in touch with our box office and seeing a show.

Box Office/Will Call is open 5:45pm-7:30pm (4:45pm-6:30pm Sundays) before each performance for ticket pick up. The Box Office does not answer the phone during these times.

Ticket Prices

The Shakespeare Tavern® is an intimate playhouse of approximately 200 seats. We feature a three-tiered seating system (except on Thursdays and any Preview performance. During these times seating is General Admission). You can choose which section you would like to sit in our theater (depending on ticket availability). Click on the pictures below to get an idea of the sight-lines from each section! Seating is first-come, first served within each seating area*. Seating for Preview performances is General Admission.

Ticket Prices Range from $22-$45 depending on the day of the week, the show, the seating availability and the seating section you'd prefer.

Main Floor (Adult Price Ticket Range: $22-$45)

Front of House Center. Within 25 feet of the stage. Seating at tables and chairs. Best area for handicapped seating needs.

Box Seats (Adult Price Ticket Range: $22-$40)

Raised elevation directly behind and to the sides of the main floor. Within 30 feet of the stage. Seating at tables and chairs.

Balcony (Adult Price Ticket Range: $22-$35)

All seats in balcony (three levels). Seating at chairs. Within 40 feet of the stage. Most seats in the balcony can accommodate food and beverage trays. Please note that to get to the balcony you must use the stairs. If you are unable to use stairs, purchase tickets in the Box or Main Floor areas. Call the Box Office if you have a wheelchair and need a table held for your party.

Discount Ticket Options

$15 tickets for General Admission Previews on Thursdays, $20 General Admission Previews on Fridays. (See Calendar for specific Preview Dates)

Student/Educator prices: $5 off per adult price level per night. Not valid on Saturday nights.

$16 for 10am Student Matinees during the school year (General Admission Seating).

Senior citizens (65 +) and Military receive $3 off the adult ticket price per section.

Group Discounts: Parties of 10 or more receive $3 off the adult ticket price per section. Tickets must be paid for 48 hours prior to show.

Please note:

Prices are subject to change and restrictions apply to discounted tickets. NO PROMOTIONAL DISCOUNTS THE FINAL WEEK OF A RUN.

*Since seating is first-come, first-served within each section, it is not guaranteed, particularly if your party arrives close to curtain, that we will be able to seat you all together, especially on sold out nights. We will make every effort to do so, but it is not guaranteed. Also please note that a limited number of tables/seats are held in advance for those patrons who purchase the Royal Upgrade Packages.

For a variety of reasons, it is necessary that our front doors be locked half an hour after each performance. If tickets are not picked up by then, they may be rescheduled for another performance. Seating is not guaranteed after the performance begins.

Food and Beverage Service: The Tavern opens one hour and fifteen minutes before the performance for food and beverage service. Food is available before Preview performances. Chef for a Night provides a Ready-to-eat cafe-style menu, made fresh the day of the show, for dinner. The Tavern has a beer, wine, coffee, tea, and soft drinks and a bar that serves Bass and Guinness on tap. Food/drink bars close 10 minutes before performance. Mixed drinks available in the lobby only.

Waiting Lists on Sold Out Nights:

If you would like tickets to a performance that is already sold out, you have two options:

Option One: If you are calling for tickets at least 24 hours in advance of a sold out performance:

You can put your name on a waiting list for any tickets that become available. You can do this over the phone or via email (please include your phone number when emailing the Box Office.)

This is best option if you are flexible with your schedule and do not mind being called at the last minute. Tickets tend to be released around 5pm the day of any performance. WE WILL ONLY CALL THIS WAITING LIST IF TICKETS BECOME AVAILABLE.

We usually don't call after 5:30pm (4:30pm on Sundays). You must be able to purchase these tickets over the phone should we call you. If you are on this waiting list and do not receive a call, it is because no tickets were released.

If you still would like to take your chances, try option 2:

If you are wanting tickets for the sold out performance that night:

On the night of the sold out performance, you may come to the Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse to put your name on a waiting list in person for any seats that are available. We will release any unclaimed tickets and seats to this waiting list 5 minutes prior to curtain. We tend to allow 6-10 people on this waiting list in on sold out nights.

We cannot guarantee that you will be able to purchase food or drink beforehand, but the food and drink bars are open at intermission with desserts and drinks. You can request the Box Office person give you a "Hall Pass" to go and get food and eat it in the lobby while you wait. (You may not choose seats at this time, food/drinks must be eaten in the lobby).

We also cannot guarantee that your whole party will get to sit together as we will be seating you in available seats, which may not be together.

This option is great for gamblers and for people who just want to see the show.

We start this waiting list when we open the lobby at 5:45pm (4:45pm Sundays).
